So I noticed my iphone has been rebooting within the last few days. It would go from a full charge before reboot to showing me an empty battery after. Now it just sits there at the apple logo and then shuts off. I have it jailbroken with 3.1.2 firmware on blackrain. Is there a way to get it to boot without a restore? Is there even a 3.1.3 jailbreak for the 3g out yet?

You can jailbreak a 3G on 3.1.3, but you cannot unlock the new baseband installed with 3.1.3. So if you rely on an unlock, you need to avoid upgrading to 3.1.3 at all costs.

It sounds to me like you have a bad battery, though.

i don't care about the unlock just the jailbreak. Is there a way to check if it really is the battery or the software causing the battery to go nuts? I have it hooked up to the computer now and it is still doing the same thing.

That's really interesting.. But ultimatly you are going to have to perform a restore to know what's the real problem. If you go up to the applestore, their going to do a restore no matter what. Exspecially with this problem..

itunes doesnt see the phone when it is plugged in...how do I do a restore in that case?
