Iphone 3g Earpiece & Speaker NO SOUND! HELPPP!

so i got this iphone 3g from my girlfriend . she gave it to me because the screen was cracked. so i ordered a new one & followed a youtube video & put it on successfully. but now my phones earpiece and speaker have no sound at all.. what did i do wrong ?????... at first wen i was takin it apart i thought u were suppose to do it from the metal part not the screen so i pulled it out jusst a little no to much then i noticed what i was doing wrong so i stopped & jus pulled out the screen. maybe that caused the problem??? HELP!! PLEASE! i
