iphone 3g games lagging

hi i have an iphone 3g on 4.1 jailborken and unlocked by ultrasn0w but my games lag when i am playing them but when i remove my sim or set airplane mode on then they work perfectly fine please help me.

Get a 3GS or iphone 4.
Not much you can do about the iphone 3G. Hardware is old and outdated.

It's time to upgrade. The 3G is some seriously old hardware and you will experience lag when playing games because the old hardware can't always meet the demands of the 4.x firmware.

I had exactly this problem with my iphone 4 as well.
What I did what took out the sim card before I do the restore, and do the restore without the sim card in the iphone. And then after is all done itunes will tell you to insert the sim, only then you insert it.
Problem solved NO LAGS WHATSOEVER.
All the people who told you to reset are idiots they have no idea what they are doing
