So I was cleaning my iPhone the other day with iKlear and a microfiber cloth when I noticed some gunk at the edge of the screen between the glass and the bezel. I figured I'd use a business card to try and scrape it out but was having a bit of trouble getting it to come out. I was able to lift it out of the groove enough to grab it with my fingers when I noticed that it was gummy and that it seemed to be attached to more of whatever it was around the edge of the screen. A few millimeters of it came out before it snapped off, and now I'm worried that my iPhone's screen is losing the glue holding it in place. Has anybody ever experienced this? I purchased my phone about a week after the 3Gs were released in Canada/US so I'm not sure if Apple could do anything about it if I take it to an Apple store. Any advice is appreciated. TIA.

Thanks iBookG4user. I took your advice and set up a Genius Bar appointment, and the guy helping me ended up giving me a (what seems to be) refurbished iPhone to take home! I'm really still getting my head around how easy it is to deal with Apple, and I'm just glad they decided to open a store in my city.

No problem, I'm glad everything worked out :)
