Well i've noticed that as i use my iphone, over time it starts to get a little hot to touch, is that normal?

yes, it is normal. happened with the first generation iphone, and it happens with the current generation iphone.

Yup, I second that. My original iPhone would heat up as I was using it for an extended time so I wasn't at all surprised when the new 3G iPhone does as well..... Still better than my 15" first-gen intel notebook, which could fry my legs if I were to use it as a laptop!

mine gets hot as well. Especially those first few days of nonstop use. Thank goodness macrumors is here to put all our anxieties to rest though. YOU ARE NORMAL!:)
