I have searched and can't seem to find exactly what I should be doing.

I have an Iphone 3G that I Jailbroke with Blackrain about 2 months ago. I am stuck on the Reboot screen and it obviously needs to be restored I am assuming.

I have downloaded the 3.1.2 software to restore with as opposed to Updating to 3.1.3 but I am not sure if It is allowing me too. The download does not want to enter the Shift - restore.

Any help appreciated

I have downloaded both RedsnOw and the 3.1.2 software. Again when I Launch Itunes and click "shift Restore"...It states there is no match and looks like the folder is actually empty?

Any thoughts, Comes down to how to get the restore started once connected.

Pwnage folder is set up with both software and redsnow

thanks

You gotta make sure that the 3.1.2 firmware you downloaded in that folder is saved and ends as an .IPSW and not with a .zip extension.
Go in and rename it and then redsnow will see it.

Yeah I have done both of those. When I click on the restore.ipsw file it opens up like sub-folders "Firmware" -> "dfu"

but nothing wants to register into Itunes, hmm

Appreciate the help

It shouldnt open up and you shouldnt be able to click thru it and see whats inside it.
For some reason your computer unzipped/extracted it.
Delete it all and download it again and save it as .ipsw
