Iphone 3g keeps sending mail that does not exist

I remember composing an email on my iphone 3g 16G and I got a call so I stopped it short and never completed the email, it asked me to save, or delete or whatever it asks and I was distracted and have no idea what I chose

anyway, now when I phone checks mail, it gives me an error saying that I did not specify email recipients ..

fine

I saw that I had 1 draft

PERFECT..

I go to the drafts folder and I see the half completed message and boom is just disappears!

FINE?

I thought

now there is nothing to delete yet this invisible email is still trying to send itself and giving me an error because it has no person to send it to

but its not visible!

so if there is a trick, I would love to know it, and if not, would restore just take me back to...when?,

or is there a better way? etc etc

I looked on my computers as well and that "invisible" email is no where to be found
