I'm having a weird problem with my new iPhone 3G which doesn't affect my old iPod even though it's playing the exact same mp3 files.

Basically some tracks play in the wrong order in some albums I have. Usually the problem is that it starts at track 3 or 4, goes to 12, then goes 1,2,3.

Anyone else had this and know how to fix it? I have made sure the track number info is set in iTunes before I did my sync.

I had a similar issue with one album on my old iPhone. You probably need to check that all the ID3 tags for your tracks are consistent. In my case, a few of the tracks had an "Album Artist" set whilst others didn't.

I did a batch retag, selecting all of the files in that album, right-clicking in iTunes and then using the checkboxes to make sure they were all the tagged the same.

Hope this helps.

Great, I'll do that. Makes sense actually in a couple of instances.

Cheers for the help
