iphone 3g on ThreeUK 3uk, does it work?

Has anyone tried one of those unlocking sims with an iphone3g on the 3UK network?

I searched but couldnt find any talk about it, seems odd seeing as 3uk has great 3g coverage.

I'm tempted to get one as you can now get a Pay as you go iphone 3g from O2 but i would want to stick with my 3Uk sim as i get better 3 and 3.5G coverage with it.

I've never heard of anybody using the 3mobile sim in an iPhone. I've tried to search for an answer a while ago but couldn't find one. So Im about 95% sure u can't

I've searched alot too, however i found one person seems to be using it with a pay and go ThreeUK sim and i also found this

I know the 3 portal wont work as it needs certain security certs to be on the phone but im hoping the rest of the internet will as long as you have a bundle allowing you to. ( x-series addon etc)

I've done this with an unbranded w890i, the portal doesnt work but rest of internet does. I pay just £5 extra a month and browse as much as i like, it even worked with my laptop>phone via bluetooth and was at around 2Meg speeds, more in 3.5g areas. I'm hoping to do the same with an iphone 3g
