so my family is tired of paying verizon 250 bux a month for crappy phones and crappy service so we decided to switch to att. We want to put our 5 phones to att. we want to get the 1400 minute share plan. my question is how much would it be for me to get the iphone 3g and the rest regular phones? i heard you pay only 30 dollars more for the iphone data. when i check online it wont show the iphone on att.com

You can check with ATT to confirm that you can port your numbers, but you can't use the same phones. You have to get new phones from ATT.

It might save you money to have an individual plan for the iPhone and the rest of the phones to be on a family plan. Since the iPhone family plans are geared for everyone to have an iPhone.

It looks like...

$69.99 iPhone (450 mins)
$109.97 for 4 lines on family plan (1400 mins)

$179.96 + tax + fees

There's more info here on iPhone plans here. http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/specials/iphone-info.jsp

The best bet is to call ATT or stop by the store to get a more accurate estimate.

Get the AT&T family plan. Additional lines are $10. For the iPhone you would pay $10 for the line and $30 for the iPhone data plan. Text messages not included :)

I am thinking of switching to ATT for an iphone. Will the $30 data plan get me access to exchange (push email, contacts, calendar), or do I need a business plan?

Thanks!
