I'm having two problems with my iPhone 3g that are driving me crazy relating to podcasts.

1.) I'm getting an error that 17 podcasts in my itunes library can't be synced with my iPhone even though they are very old and have long been deleted. How do I remove these podcasts from my library? I've used the search function in the videos, music, and podcasts sections of itunes for these files and none are appearing. The error specifies they can't be synced because the files can't be found, but there are no entries for these files in itunes anyway.

2.) I have my podcasts sets to only sync with my iphone podcasts that have not yet been viewed, however all podcasts from my itunes (having been previously viewed or not) ~ALL~ sync with iPhone and copy over. My itunes is set to keep the latest two podcasts. Is there any way to fix this? I really have no idea what is wrong.

I think this is an iTunes issue.

To delete podcasts, just go to your podcast list and the ones w/ the blue dot (means its downloaded) right click and delete it.
2nd issue, Im not sure because I delete the podcasts when Im done w/ them. Theres no point in keeping it.

I'd rather not delete all podcasts individually every night though. Having only hte unplayed podcasts sync saves memory on my iPhone as well when I'm done with listening to something. I've tried listening through to the end too, but it still does not auto delete.

Also the 17 podcasts that are reported to not be found are not in my music, video, or podcasts tab. Is there some way I can get rid of this message?
