Hi guys I was just wondering do you think that the 3G version of the iPhone will drop to say roughly half price when the new iPhone is released? I remember that to the original iPhone that it was reduced to £169 I think Pay and Go.

Secondly does anyone remember if the original iPhone was reduced in price before the 3G was released or a few weeks before?

Thanks

the iPhone was definitely sold out but I don't know when due to its price being cut in half basically! I just can't remember at what stage it was reduced...As I am thinking if the iPhone 3G is going to be reduced in price I will buy it and stick a sim only sim in rather than pay for a poor value contract! If its not going to be reduced I will just go and get one on contract!

I doubt they'll keep the 3G around after the 4G comes out. They'll most likely phase out the 3G, drop the price of the 3GS and introduce the 4G. That's what they did last year, and they do similar things with their laptops and other products. I doubt they'd keep 3 different generations of phones in the store.
