how come when i get an new email on m iphone and i del it.. i check on the hotmail server to see if i been deleted.. but its not an i got to del it again why is that? is there way to fixed that

If you have IMAP email any changes you make should be there when you log on at your computer....

Not sure if hotmail offers IMAP....

If it is only using POP then it just downloads the messages... It won't mark if you've read them or archived/deleted them....

P.S. If hotmail doesn't support IMAP open a gmail account... Far superior than hotmal on so many levels!

Go into the settings for the specific mail account. Go into Advanced and change the "Delete from server" setting. The Hotmail server should honor deletion requests.

It doesn't honor deletion requests.

OP, Hotmail is not IMAP email like Yahoo or the others, so you won't be able to delete an email from your iPhone and see it deleted off the server.

Right... there isn't much to be done about this unless/until Hotmail offers IMAP access. It's not iPhone 3GS specific (or even iPhone specific) either. The only things you could really do would be things like switching to a web or app client for Hotmail other than the mail application, or else possibly using some kind of mail aggregating service that accesses Hotmail using a different mechanism than POP, so that it deletes/marks mail properly.
