iPhone 3G S Upgrade Questions :D

Hi there guys, so finally the iPhone 3g S is being sold in my country so I'm in a couple of days going to upgrade from my 3G. I wanted to ask you guys what ere the issues with some of the 3GS's, I remember reading about:
1) Yellowish Screen.
2) Loose Silence Toggle Thingy(I don't remember how you guys call it).
3) Kind of not completely closed case on the sides.
4) Bad sounds coming from the speakers

Was there anything else that I'm forgetting? I ask because exchanging an iPhone here isn't as easy as there lol.

Another question I remember also reading that someone got some issues when using his 3G backup on to his 3G S. So, can i use the backup from my 3G on my 3G S? The thing I want to keep the most are the Mail configurations because I don't really know how I finally got it running lol.

1-3) Haven't seen those problems, myself. Should be easy to prevent with a careful time-of-purchase inspection. Don't leave the store without inspecting it.

That's why I'm asking I want to go with a list of everything I need to check. About the bad sounds I don't really remember what was the issue.
