So I bought a practically brand new 3G from a friend that decided he didnt want his 3G anymore. I am going to jaibreak/unlock this iPhone with Blackra1n and list it on ebay in hopes of selling it for a better price than I paid. I am a little confused as to how this works though. (I know how to jailbreak/unlock as I currently have a jailbroken/unlocked 3G) I received the phone already activated with a sim card in it. I threw the sim card away and manually erased what data I could.

Now is where I get confused. Do I need to restore this iPhone before I sell it? If so, should I jailbreak/unlock the iPhone before I restore with iTunes (Will it UNjailbreak and RELOCK the iPhone if I restore?) or should I do a full restore of the iPhone, reactivate with iTunes, jailbreak/unlock it, and sell it like that. I'm confused because I see tons of ebay listings where the phones seem like they are already activated with iTunes. If that was the case, wouldnt you have to restore the phone after buying it anyways?

thanks in advance
