Ok, so i just purchased a iPhone 3g 8GB on eBay. I already have an existing account with AT&T. I originally signed up with the samsung impression. However i ended up not liking it too much and selling it, now I am using just a simple samsung a437.

Am i going to be able to put my current sim card into the iPhone 3g and have it work? I didnt know there was such complication with this matter or i might have not bought one. So i am asking, will it work if i put my current sim card in the phone, and if not, what would i have to do to make it work? thanks

i'm assuming you are still going to be using your at&t carrier for the iphone.

if i'm not mistaken, you would still need the iphone data plan for you to just put in your sim card.

So, if I put my sim card in and do something online with changing the data plan? It will work? Cause I didn't see anything or anyway to change the plan or phone/device to the iphone or iphone data plan. Ahhh lol

AT&T will automatically add the iPhone plan to your account. Or you can call and make sure they do. It just takes a few hours for their system to switch over to the new phone.

So today when I get my phone, I put my sim card in it, and by then it will be late n time for bed anyway, so when I get up everything will work?

You're going to have to plug it into iTunes and activate it and sync your information onto it. When you activate it in iTunes is when it tells AT&T what phone you have and signals to check the data plan.
