I might have got this all wrong but, when my iPhone is in the sleep mode will it still check for new mails, and if so how can i switch this on? i have a mobile me account ( old .mac ) and i have set it all up to push email etc in the settings on the iphone. however i will check the mailbox and it will download new emails. i thought the whole point of it been push is that it all syncs at the same time?

Any help would be great. Thanks

It should do it automatically, I'm just using gmail right now with IMAP and when I wake my ipod up out of sleep mode I will have new mail.

Yea i thought the whole thing about mobile me was that i wouldnt have to check and a new email would be pushed to me much like an sms msg. Perhaps i got it wrong.
