I have an iPhone 3G that is stuck on the Apple Logo. I have tried putting it into DFU mode and restoring it with the newest iTunes version, as well as older iTunes versions, but that didn’t work. The newest iTunes version recognized it and I tried restoring it with my own firmware file, but it said “This iPhone was previously in DFU mode, but restarted and is no longer in DFU mode. To restore this iPhone from DFU mode, disconnect it and place it in DFU mode again.”. I tried putting it into DFU again but it still says the same thing. Older iTunes versions can’t contact the iPod/iPhone update servers, so that didn’t work. I tried using redsnow but it’s too outdated and won’t recognize that the iPhone is in DFU mode. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don’t care if I have to factory reset it, I just want it to get off the Apple logo and actually boot into iOS.
