My iPhone 3G is stuck on Edge for some reason. Also, I check my settings and 3G is enabled. Is there anything I can do myself or do I need a new SIM from AT&T. Thank You in advance.

No, I live in a major metro area in the US. Plus i've had this iPhone since August and this just started happening yesterday.

Use this map to determine if you are in a covered area. Also, in Chicago, I notice that I get worse coverage than in the suburb where I live. This is because there are tall buildings that the 3G signal doesn't penetrate through. This is because, in a nut shell, the higher strength of the signal, the slower the speed and the faster the speed, the lower the strength. This is true for Wi-Fi and many other wireless network systems like 3G (UMTS).
