iPhone 3g Super Bright hard to see icons!!

The brightness has increased drastically.
Almost looks like a white screen.
Makes it all the more difficult to see icons.

Is this a known issue with 3g iPhones?

Will Apple honor warranty in such cases?

Have you tried to turn down the brightness under Settings? And turn off Auto-Brightness?

If those don't change things,yeah, you'll need to replace the phone. Don't know why that wouldn't be covered by the 1 year warranty (unless the water sensors are red, then Apple won't).

i have never heard of anything like this, but as long as its not clearly your fault, i would imagine apple would cover it

I should have mentioned that I have already tried reducing brightness. This is so bright that there is almost no icons to be seen on the screen.

No water damage as well. Phone was not dropped EVER.

I called applecare and even the rep had no clue of recording such a case. So guess this is rare.

Yes, something is not right with your screen.
If you're still covered under warranty they will fix it no probs. If you're out of warranty they'd probably charge you for it but worth going there and showing it to them and see how it turns out.
