Hello fellow geeks :)

So i am thrilled to have jailbroken my iphone 3G. the process was easy and worked the first time. thanks for the amazing tutorials and detailed forums.

The real reason I am posting here, is that now when i make/receive calls, and use the actual handset as opposed to bluetooth or speaker, the screen does not seem to disable itself when I a holding the phone to my ear. While this is not the biggest deal, it's really annoying cause it keeps muting me or putting me on speaker on it's own.

I figure there's a setting to fix this somewhere but I haven't been able to find it.

any suggestions?

thanks,

Jamie

screen disable problem solved

Apparently the issue was with the toughskin I have on the phone. It was covering the light/proximity sensor. As soon as I took the phone out of the case, the proximity sensor kicked back in.

thanks anyhow

I had the same problem when using my old touch case on my iPhone. I bought a "proper" iPhone case, that doesn't cover the light sensors, and all is fine.

Glad you figured it out!
