For about the last 4 weeks my iPhone 3G has been unable to connect to any wifi, with the typical 'unable to connect' message each time I try. I can still use Edge and 3G, but wifi will not work, which is obviously very frustrating!

I took it to the Genius Bar today and they said they had no idea and all they could do is replace it for £150.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is this a known fault?

Regards,
Nick

I'm also having this problem, I have updated to iOS 4 and still no avail. I have done all the resetting of network settings, freezer fix, nothing seems to be working.

And yes Nick, it is a well known fault that apparently was introduced with the 3.0 firmware. It's very annoying, yet apple have not managed to fix it.

EDIT: I spoke to a friend and he has had this problem since he can remember.
