Hi there,
I have an iPhone 3G and it's since yesterday impossible to connect to any wifi network.
It tried everything possible. Reset the router, tried another router, reset the iPhone, reset the iPhone network settings etc.
My iPod Touch is connecting fine using the same settings.

The really crazy thing is:
If I put the iPhone onto the router (so that the antenna is 1 cm away from it) .. its connecting and working!

Is this a hardware issue? Anyone here having the same problem?

I wish I could! I bought it in Italy but live in Germany. There is no warrenty here for iPhones from abroad. Any other ideas how to get this fixed?

Thats really odd, it seems that your wifi antenna on your 3G is damaged:(
Before doing any other thing (sending it to get repaired, etc) try restoring your phone but do a fresh install, don't back up from previous sync.

I tried to restore it without using a backup. No success.
If the antenna is damaged .. why is it showing all the available networks then? That's what I don't understand :/ Maybe it will be fixed with the new firmware 2.2?
