Iphone 3G won't turn on, possibly stuck in DFU Mode

HI!!!
My new black 16gb iPhone 3G is not turning on and i supsect that the device is stuck in DFU Mode. I am trying to restore the iPhone yet when i do it never seems to completethe restore process.
HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!

So restore it in DFU mode.

Or restore it in Recovery mode.
