I succesfully downgraded to 3.1.2 and this is now my first tethered jailbreak and I'm still trying to figure things out. But... So I jailbroke with redsn0w and it worked fine. But when I started redownloading all my stuff off cydia I kept having to restart my phone so I started using blackra1n to do the tethered reboot because it's a lot faster. Overall I don't prefer blackra1n because I seem to have more network problems (no service, dropped calls, etc) but just for a quick reboot I use blackra1n, but before leaving home for the day I use redsn0w. But what I've noticed is that redsn0w has stopped working. It won't reboot the phone and it stays in recovery mode after the jb finishes on my computer. Maybe I'm just not giving it time to boot the phone. I wait like 3-4 mins but it never boots. Blackra1n always boots the phone. Has someone seen this before and is there something I did wrong?? What other jb programs can I try using besides blackra1n??
As always, thanks for any help.

Don't know why redsn0w wont boot you up. BUT, starting your phone with blackra1n WON'T change anything on your phone or effect your network. It ONLY bypasses the firmware check and restarts your phone when used in this manner.

Really? Cuz when I turn off my 3g (to save battery) i lose all service. and thats only when i use blackra1n.

are there any other jb's for the 3.1.2 that I could use on my 3gs? I just dont get why redsn0w stopped working.
