my iphone 3gs reception has started acting up on me recently. i bought my 3gs a few days after the launch. worked fine and everything but now it's just messing about. i'll have full bars on ans saying "3G O2-UK" then all of a sudden it'll cut out. no bars but it'll still say 3G but not O2-UK. i have tried, rebooting iphone, restoring iphone, turning off iphone, ejectin sim, turning on iphone, inserting sim. and even swapping sim cards from my dads phone. yet nothing works! i have to wait hours before my reception will all of a sudden came back on! and before you ask, i get full blast 3g signal in my area, so unless the signal was shut off complete for 4 hours then i don't know whats wrong with my phone

i was thinking about taking the phone back to the o2 shop, but i don't want to wait 2 weeks for them to fix it. should i phone up applecare (anyone know the uk number for thesee people) or should i just take it straight back to my local apple store?

will they fix it there and then or will they offer me a new replacement phone ? can i just walk into the apple shop or do i need to make an appointment with a genius ? i'm not sure how the shop works lol.

please reply!

thank you so much :)

Make Genius appointment. May replace it on spot. Document your problem completely.
