How do you have it set? I have it show the battery percentage.

I keep it on. It helps me judge how much I can use it before I'll be back home to charge it.

when the battery is near full charge it makes me feel anal about conserving battery and how fast the % is dropping but I do agree that when at 20% and lower, it is helpful to judge how much life you have left before it dies.

Always on, both on my new 3GS and my old jailbroken 2G.

I partly need it for the 3GS to make sure it doesn't die though (tethered jailbreak)

I always had it turned on, but after a while I thought it was a waste of 'space' and without looks nicer. It's also dissapointing to see your battery drain, slowly but surely...

Buttttt if the battery percentage is low (you just see that with the battery bar), than I might turn it on to make sure it doesn't fully drain :p

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7D11 Safari/528.16)

On... Tho it's inaccurate often enough that I'm not sure why.

Ohh...that'd be a nice setting to have: Off above 20%, but it comes on after the 20% warning pops up.

I would use that.

But as it is now I'd leave it off. It creates stress and really, it doesn't help. I'm gonna use my phone when I want to use my phone! It won't change my behavior, it'll just make me unhappy.

I like it on.

But then when i see it in the 50's i start changing the settings so It lasts longer.

I just recently turned mine off. I was too stressed about having it above 75 all the time. So I just cut it off and now I feel better about the not so great battery life. :D

I keep it on because it's a good reference. May not be a perfect reference, but it beats looking at a rectangle and measuring the filled space.
