Hello all,

I bought my iPhone 3Gs in June, and recently have a camera unreliable problem, my image got twisted like below picture when i open my camera app. I would like to ask is this a common problem in software bugs or this is a hardware issue, and i have to take it back to apple store.

Please advise, thank you.

I'd take it back to apple and see what they say, that doesn't look right. My camera works flawlessy. Of course you are limited to how close to an object you can get but overall the camera works well.

Have you tried any other apps that interface with the camera? I can't think of any off the top of my head but I'd try that if possible, also try the obvious of restoring.
Failing that just send it back to apple or goto the genius bar and see what they say.

It looks like a glitch to me but it's hard to say if its hardware or software related.
