Has anyone purchased a Nexus One in replacement for their iPhone and successfully used it on AT&T. I was thinking about this if the next 4G version of the iPhone was not as good as my 3GS, but I have heard so many people having trouble activating their Google phones.

Also has anyone heard if Google will be selling it on AT&T?

While the Nexus One is a pretty awesome phone it currently doesn't support AT&T 3G.

The only reason that I would choose one over the other (until its available on Verizon) would be if you have better T-Mobile coverage over AT&Ts 3g, or if you don't have 3G coverage at all.

I think the Nexus is the better phone; I've been using one for a few weeks (at least for now--we'll have to see what the next generation iPhone offers).

Still, I wouldn't put a Nexus on AT&T yet until 3G connectivity is available. It sounds like Verizon will be on board soon with the Nexus, and there are rumors that there may be a Nexus version with AT&T 3G bands coming, but a rumor won't get you a signal.

I have perfect connection with full bars and great 3G, in fact in my area and everywhere I have been my service has actually been as good as my wife's HTC Droid on Verizon.

They're purportedly getting an AT&T 3G version of the Nexus One going through FCC approval now so you might have the choice in the near future. I was an avid iPhone user (owning the 2G, 3G, and 3GS), but I think I've officially converted with the Nexus One.

The form factor made it a nice transition, as it is very similar to the iPhone, but the display, speed are above and beyond that of the iPhone, even the 3GS. Copying media isn't a great experience on the Android platform, but its a minor concern for me. But the iPhone definitely has the advantage of a great out-of-the-box user experience, streamlining all your data and media in one sync process.

yeahh umm

the Nexus doesnt work on at&t 3g net. however the Nexus is an amazing phone and u should consider it .. if it comes out for at&t :D
