Hi Guys,

Just got a new iPhone 3Gs, upgrading from a original 1st generation model.

Transferred the SIM over, no issues at all. All works great, except that when I receive a SMS message, I can see and view it as normal - however when I quit the SMS app and go back in, everything is erased (it's a blank slate every time). If I stay in the SMS app, i can read reply and send everything as normal, and conversations gather as normal - until I quit the app.

So basically upon quitting SMS app, it wipes all conversations and saved text messages. Very annoying

I have tried looking into settings and restoring the phone also, but no joy.

Anyone have any ideas or heard of this before. I can't find anything similar on a web search.

Thanks

From reading that link, it seems that a full restore can fix it.

So you lose everything on the phone, but get the functionality back.
