Two of the biggest problems I've had with iPhone and iPhone 3G (jailbroken) were speed and battery life.

1. With the upgraded clock speed and memory, does the iPhone 3GS run noticeably slower jailbroken than unjailbroken?

2. Any difference in battery life?

3. Are there any problems regarding compatibility with 3GS?

Thanks!

Jailbreaking does not make your phone slower or your battery life worse. Installing a bunch of stuff does that. To avoid bad battery life and slow performance, don't install a bunch of stuff that runs in the background.

It gets slow depending on what you install on it. Background services kill the battery faster than not having them there.

2. Any difference in battery life?

Once again it comes down to how you use your phone and what other services you have installed.

3. Are there any problems regarding compatibility with 3GS?

None, that I've heard.

Are you sure about that? I have under three pages of apps, and only have SB Settings running. It seems to slow down my 3G quite a bit. It gets worse over time.

Also I was just thinking since there's twice as much memory and a 1.5 times faster CPU, that there wouldn't be much of a speed difference.

SBSettings would be part of that "all sorts of stuff" I was talking about.

3 pages of apps matters not unless they are running in the background.

no no and no.

i have 9 pages of apps, sbsettings, 15gb of music, some tv shows, a few movies. it's fine. my 3gs is considerably faster than my old jb'd 3g

Have you noticed a difference since before your 3GS was jailbroken?

Wow you're funny..... The 3GS is lighning fast jailbroken and unjailbroken. I can have something running in the backround with no difference in speed at all. I love my jailbroken 3GS.
