Hey Guys, My Iphone 3gs is 2 weeks old.

This week when I have bee charging it over night it only get to 99%

I did the drain the whole battery stuff and made sure it was fully charged before using it the first time.

Any Ideas.

Thanks.

this is a joke right?

yes it does, and its my 2nd iphone 3gs, i've returned the first one for the exact same problem, and the new one just started the same problem 2days ago

You returned a phone over 1% of battery life? Wow. Unless there were other REAL problems, you're the reason why costs are so high for iPhones. They have to keep replacing them for every single little tiny problem.

who said its not a sign of defective battery with more problems to come in the future? I just paid $800 for the damn thing I want it to work like a new one.

I never had that problem with my old 2g et 3g

Fine then, in the future, when it becomes a real problem, then get it replaced. Dont act like its a pre-emptive strike. You arent going to miss that 1%. In fact, if you turn the battery % meter off, you'll never notice it was gone.

But yeah, go ahead and keep getting them replaced. You're just going to keep getting refurbs which have their own inherent problems. Trust me, I've got problems with my iPhone, but I'll wait until they become real issues before I return it. Nothing is perfect. Its a phone.

heh well got off the phone with apple. and will give it another week.

But I was charging it all day and its only at 96% and wont go any further.

Oh well will try and get a new one. will see what happens.

This same thing happened to me the first few days i charged my 3gs, but then it just stopped happening and it would charge to 100%. Not sure what exactly causes this problem
