Half way thru the Pilot episode you see the new interface. It's a close up view of the interface and you can see it for about 2 seconds. Looks like a combo of a Blackberry and Apple.

Or perhaps it's just another example of a custom fake OS for a television show.

The idea that Apple is going to somehow release products to television shows, is well... flawed.

Definitely too thin to be an iPhone, however the really incredibly crappy picture shows a speaker at the top. My verdict is an iPod Touch that is way photoshopped.

Interesting, although I'd agree with thegoldenmackid and Consultant. "24," for example, started using Palm Pres this season (Sprint is a major sponsor). Haven't seen a screen shot of the OS, but based on 24's tendency to make up OSes, I'd say it's fake.

iPod Touches don't have a speaker on top, only the iPhone.

Or am I missing something?

Either just a photo of a fake GUI being displayed...

...or they took a dummy iPhone, put in a simple battery powered light, and glued a translucent image on the screen like many Trek control panels.

But yeah, not a good looking GUI, is it? :)

There was a recent article (on Giz?) about a fellow in Hollywood who everyone hired to create fake but very nice looking computer screens and GUIs for shows and movies. Anyone remember that?

Edit: here's the story about him...

Most CBS shows use iPhone's for example in Two and a Half Men recently Charlie was talking about how he has videos of his fiancé on his iPhone and yes he used the word iPhone.
