will my current iPhone 3gs sg be able to get iPhone os 4.0 when it launches later this year?

Well do you guys think 4.0 will be available for 3G owners? Apple still sells them correct?

And if that's the case, wouldn't it most likely be available for the iPhone 2g since it runs basically the same hardware as the 3G??

Not sure anyone can answer that at this point

nobody really knows anything

till July maybe they will keep the same firmware who knows! it's almost 5 months away! I guess new firmware and support for 3GS and 3G and no reason to think 2G won't be included but June we know for sure! ;) there are a million threads talking about this!

Probably a watered down version of 4.0 with alot of stuff missing to make you upgrade to the new iPhone or the 3GS.
