Hi everyone, I have had my iPhone 4 since late August and have loved it! The battery life (Until this week), retina display, facetime has made it a worthwhile upgrade over my old 3GS.

Now suddenly my iPhone 4's battery life is terrible! When it is on standby with a bit of push emails, bluetooth and wifi off, it drains 30% in just under 2 hours! This sudden drop is ridiculous!

I haven't changed any settings and I am quitting apps with only settings running in the background. So I have no clue as to why there has been a drastic and sudden change in my battery life.

If anyone has an suggestions on what could be the culprit or what I should do please let me know, if not I guess I'll contact Apple and see if I can get a replacement.

Thanks in advanced,

Kevin

Back up your data.
Restore your phone to new. Check your battery's status for the day. Do you still have battery problems? Go to apple store. If not, go to the next step.
Install one app a day to find the battery draining culprit.

iPhone 4 Battery Life - Found The Problem

I have had this problem for the last three days, and have been searching all over for the solution.

Then, I remembered that I made a change to my iPhone settings three days ago. I had turned the <General> <Auto-Lock> to <Never>. That was it!

Changed it back to 4 minutes, and now I can sleep soundly tonight.

Constant GPS

I am having the same problem starting just in the last few days. I've noticed that the little arrow for location services has been on constantly. That kind of gps tracking drains battery fast. The culprits might be Facebook or runkeeper or perhaps even maps. I turned them all off. Try that and see what happens.
