iPhone 4 Bumper create one huge power button

So I switched from my Griffin case to my new iPhone Bumper and it seems decent until I hit the power button. I can basically hit anywhere on the entire top edge of the case and it will turn my phone on and off. I am sure this will be great for the battery when its in my pocket. Does anyone else have this problem or did I get a dud?

Yes- I noticed this yesterday when I put my bummper on. May be a deal breaker for me. I'll give is a few days and see if it changes.

I just got my wife's bumper today and I'm trying it out to see if I like it while she's at work. Just did what you said and touched all over the top and the only way it would turn on is if I touched the sleep button

I decided to try again and put it on the bottom first and then around the top. This helped some. Also made sure the rubber edge wasnt bunched. Now I can press the top right corner and it will turn on/off, but besides that I have to hit the button.

While doing this, I did notice that my normal power button (one built into the phone) rattles when I shake it. That is probably not good news.

If you shook the phone with the bumper on, that's the bumper rattling, not the phone....at least in my case. Specifically, the Power button and the Volume control buttons.

I know it's late but here is the fix. I just found this out today, wish I had owned an iPhone when it first came out. Would've helped a lot of ppl with this problem. I did not come across this fix anywhere else, found this out myself.

Fix: there is a sticker under the power button of the bumper, get a small pin or exacto knife, carefully peel it up. This should reveal the metal piece. In doing so, creates more space between the bumper and the iPhone allowing for some wiggle room.
