I'm looking for a car holder with USB pass-through ...
The only one I found so far is the one by ProClip.

(TomTom carkit doesn't qualify because the USB only transfers power, not data => no pass-through)

That's not right. The TomTom car kit transfers everything except the audio for voice calls. And that's because Apple doesn't allow voice audio over the bottom port connection. You won't be able to get voice call audio passed through that connection no matter what you use.

Really? I have a USB audio interface in my car, so I absolutely need audio USB passthrough ...

EDIT: Are you absolutely sure? Because I've read reports of people saying iTunes wouldn't recognize their iPhone when they connect the iPhone to their Mac through the carkit, meaning the USB doesn't transfer data, only power (right?)

Proclip is a little expensive, but it does what you want. I have proclip pass-thru mounts in both family cars and totally love 'em.

Window mount, please

I would like a window-mount holder with pass-through. Proclip does not have a window mount. This way the passenger has a great view, and rotating the phone is easier. The pass-through is particularly important for cars with a direct iPod cable for charging and playing music. I happen to have - and love - the Kensington LiquidAux, which has both a charger and 3.5mm aux coming out of the dock connector.
