I'm thinking maybe the conference will announce 2 things?

1 - New iphones will come with a very thin plastic (or some material) coating to prevent signal loss.

2 - Any current iphone user can go to a genuis bar and get their iphone "fixed" and have this coating put on which is the same as getting a new one from the factory (this is what they could claim).

Hopefully they won't charge $29.99 for the plastic coating though.

This seems the most cost efficient idea for Apple. Maybe they've been weighing a completely new design with one that is simpler and can be applied to the 1.7million people who already have iphones.

Well if they do I'm not interested. I like the bare metal, a plastic coating would ruin the look and feel of the stainless steel.

Im already using a bumper. And it could be very small and clear.
