I have an unlocked iPhone 4 on 5.1 that I used SAMs Pref to unlock back in April, while it was already a tethered JB with Redsnow. About once a month I do a tethered reboot with Redsnow, and never have any issues.
Yesterday, I installed BiteSMS from Cydia, and it needed a reboot to finish the install. I tried to do the tethered Redsnow boot, and keep getting an error when attempting to get into DFU mode.
"Missing Keys.Plist data for this build"
The phone is still unlocked on Tmo, but mail and Safari crash. I can make calls and text, though.

I backed up from a previous version in iTunes, no change.

Any help is appreciated to get it working correctly.

9.10b8 is what I've always used.
Just got 9.12b2 last night. no luck either.

You have your SAM activation ticket and SHSH/APTicket saved for 5.1?

Have you tried to deinstall bitesms?

I can't uninstall bitesms. Cydia won't open at all. All of my JB apps crash immediately, as well as Safari and Mail. Everything else works.
I saved the ticket, if I recall, right away when i had everything working.
I don't remember how, or where. I know, I need to help myself a little more, here, but I just followed instructions for the JB and SAM at the time. I don't know much about this stuff.

Have you tried the latest redsn0w 9.14b2?

This will probably mean restoring to, so hope you have your SHSH/APticket saved so you can still restore to that?

First go find your SAM ticket.

You can also try to go into DFU on sn0wnbreeze or iFaith and than do the boot tethered with redsn0w.

i did try the new redsnow. i'll look for my ticket. Thanks for the help.
