iPhone 4 messaging keyboard bug

I'm just putting feelers out there to see if anyone else has this issue from time to time. Sometimes when I open a new text message, the keyboard is sitting taking up half the screen even though I haven't tapped to write a reply. To get rid of the keyboard I need to go back out to the messaging inbox and then back into the message I want to read.

Has anyone else got this issue and/or know of a fix?

I've seen it a few times. I never really cared enough to search for anything. Its not that big a deal to me. I did remove bitesms and quick sms to see if it helped and it didn't

It is very annoying, however, that is just the way it works.

It's not a bug...That is the way it works. I don't think anyone likes it, but another workaround is to tap the edit button.

I usually just go out of the text and then back in it. That usually also does the trick.

sometimes i have to leave that conversation twice to get the keyboard to go away. kind of annoying
