Hi all,

My friend has an iphone 4, on 4.0.1, jailbroken and unlocked that she bought of ebay. It has gone into a bootloop. According to her, she downloaded "something to enable tmobile mms" about a half hour before.

I seem remember a few packages from back in the day when I had an iphone on tmobile. One was tmobile mms fix, another one, and one that I think may have caused the issue, is swirlymms.

So its stuck in a bootloop. I tried volume + power, hard reset with home and power button, etc etc. I'm no expert, but i've been jailbreaking for a long time.

She wants to retain the unlock, but get out of the bootoop. Any suggestions? its tough searching for this old of a phone and jailbreak (I've tried). Thanks for your help.

Well, you can upgrade the iPhone to 6.1 and purchase an IMEI (factory) unlock off eBay for a couple bucks. Then you can jailbreak with the new evasi0n software.

thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware that they were so cheap on ebay!

I'd like to keep it how it is for her, if anyone else has other ideas. Might try to poke around with ifunbox later. But if that doesn't work, i'll give the ebay one a shot.
