Hi all,

I'm looking to jailbreak for the first time with my iPhone 4. Has anyone had any performace issues, now that the jailbreak has been out for a couple of days? Does the iphone 4 seem slow, lagging? Battery life? Any apps/tweaks that don't work well? I appreciate your feedback. Love the site!

Had iPhone 4 JB with 5.1.1 and it was kinda slow. 6.1 is much better. If you don't like it then you can always restore it. Not that difficult.

I did a clean restore/install to upgrade from 5.1.1 to 6.1. It's running just as well if not a little better than before. Boot up time is about 60s.

It's worth the upgrade! ;)

Hi,

Just to point out that the actual jail-break does not cause lag.

Too many conflicting tweaks or badly written ones can.

As i keep saying over and over again...... do a bit of homework before going forward and don't download everything in site.

Welcome to the world that allows your idevice to function how you want it to and not have Apples sandbox wants you to !

I'm on a freshly jailbroken (3rd day now) iPhone 4 with 6.1, and haven't had any major problems. I haven't noticed any slow down, and I'm sure the only reason my battery isn't lasting as long is because I'm using the phone a lot more playing with tweaks and learning everything. The only problem I've had is the notification center not showing up on the lockscreen when I'm using a custom theme, but from what I've read it's something in winterboard and is being looked at (anyone have any new news on this?). Overall I'm happy with the jailbreak.

There's a thread about it here: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1537918/

And a bit from reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/jailbreak/comments/17xq19/no_lockscreen_notifications_after_installing/

Hopefully it won't be too long before we see a fix.

What apps/tweaks have you installed? Looking for some good ones. I'm interested in themes

6.1 is waaaaay better than 5.0.1 ... i got stuck in 5.0.1 because i didnt get the shsh blobs for the other ones, still it upgraded / jailbreak / unlocked very well...

(using gevey ultra ios 6.1 iphone 4)

Winterboard if you're looking for themes. Other than that I haven't don't a lot...I downloaded Activator but haven't played with it much yet. Also FakeCarrier, SBSettings and NCSettings (tried both to compare and think I prefer NCSettings just for aesthetics), Bytafont, and ClockHide. I'm new at this if you can't tell, and think that if I can figure it out it must not be too tough.

iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1, upgraded to 6.1 (straight upgrade, not a restore), jailbroke, installed some light tweaks (no themes or major UI overhauls). Noticed some system lag at first, but after a few resprings and reboots it seems to be quite snappy, at least as quick as OS 5 and possibly quicker. No noticeable bugs as of yet.
