Need some help here, I installed IOS 5 on my wife’s Iphone 4 and it is running incredibility slow. I can see it being a little slower than my 4S but there is even a lag when switching between home screens.

Any suggestions?

If I “restore” the phone to original settings can I than restore from backup to get all her data back?

Will this even help?

Did u ever get anywhere with the sluggish performance of ios 5 on the iPhone 4?

U shouldnt need to restore to get data back if u just upgraded. The data shouldn't have bee deleted. But if reset and restore u will still be at iOS 5...

if you restore from backup, your possibly putting the "corrupt/slow" iOS back on the iPhone. its best to setup the iPhone as new and sync everything over. save contacts, calendars, pictures/videos, music, apps, misc on your computer before you do all of this. re-install iOS and then sync everything over one by one.
