So my iPhone turned a year old, and shortly thereafter evasi0n came out. I figured it was about time I jailbroke it!
Of course, I first tried installing SiriPort and Winterboard, but that didn't go so well. My phone is now stuck at the Apple logo. I did boot it in restore mode and restore it via iTunes.
Now it's still stuck at the logo, but when I plug it in iTunes recognizes it and shows all my stuff recovered from my iCloud backup. How do I get this sucker to actually boot up, though?! Do I need to restore again, or is it bricked?
Edit: Tried restoring again today at work. No luck.
Edit 2: AT&T Store advised me to use DFU mode rather than restore mode. Failing that, they'll hit me for a $250 early upgrade fee. Now my problem is that I can't get to DFU mode because the phone won't power off. So... what now?
Edit 3: I used redsn0w to make an iOS6 IPSW that forced it into DFU mode. I restored that with iTunes and successfully got it into DFU. Then I tried restoring vanilla iOS6. The first restore failed, but the second one worked!
