So, when connecting my bluetooth headset to my iPhone12, it used to say "Connected to iPhone".

Lately, is says "Connected to iPhone 4".

But I don't believe it thinks it connected to an iPhone4.

When I go to settings > Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases and then scroll down to my devices, is says: "iPhone (4)". It almost seems like the device thinks it is iPhone number 4 of 4. But its the only iPhone.

I don't understand why this happened. Can anyone please explain and make suggestions on how to correct this?

Thank you!

If you don't change the name of your phone to something less generic, when the phone on a network with other phones named "iPhone," they'll append numbers automatically to the phone's name.

So, maybe this picture can explain my problem better than I can... The phone is properly identified, but I don't know why it says "iPhone (4) instead of MyName's iPhone.
