iPhone iPhone 4 with iOs 6, jailbreak?

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4, I just updated it to the latest version of the iOS and I was VERY disappointed.

I was innocent enough to believe that Siri had finally come to the iPhone 4, which also seemed that way as Apple presented their update.
The new navigation system isn't implemented on it, nor the 3d view, The classic YouTube was removed too (I liked it better than the new version of it),

And I don't know, it just seems more like downgrading when it comes to updating to it with my iPhone.

So I thought that maybe now, it looks like a joke not to jailbreak my phone,
I do want these options, and it seems like Apple are just blocking them from coming to the iPhone 4 for no reason at all,

Is it possible to jailbreak the latest version of the iOS 6 though?
and if so, is it risky? I heard about some cases of the phone going to some sort of a brick mode, I really want to avoid risking my phone that much,
So I'd love to hear about some safe ways to jailbreak my phone safely, and while keeping an option to go back to the official iOS with no problems

I know that some of you will tell me that I should've googled it, but I found so many different results, some say things about brick modes, some say it's safe, some say that there are ways that are safe and some that aren't,

So with all of this confusion I thought I'd be better off asking the pros here,

As far as I know the tethered jailbreak means that each time I will turn my phone, i will have to plug it to the computer?

What happens if I accidentally turn it on without having it plugged to my computer though? will it get stuck and I will have to restore it or something?

I just want to avoid these weird situations, I have a lot of things in my phone, such as contacts, photos and other information and I don't want to have to back it up on a daily basis

and by the way, how do I manually install cydia?

They said something about 5.1.1 SHSH blobs,
I already upgraded my iPhone to the iOS 6, am I stuck with it now without having the option to back it up?
And why do I need it by the way?

You'll just have to wait for an untethered jailbreak, which sometimes can be months away. I used to jailbreak, but I took everything off and started using it without the jailbreak to prepare for the iPhone 5. With the exception of Bitesms and sbsetting, nonjailbroken is fine.

I see, This doesn't really answer my question about what'll happen when I boot my device while it isn't connected to a pc though..

I really want these features, such as the Siri and the others, also, I won't be getting an iPhone 5 in a long while anyway.

I never wanted to jailbreak my phone, I thought I'd stay that way, but now when my phone was obviosuly left behind, I think that I should

Until you connect it to your PC, It wont boot up. Siri on the iPhone 4 is risky. You'll need to use someone else Siri through a proxy server to connect to apple, which means they can get all the data send through it. (No 100% on that, but it is along the lines of that) Jaibreaking does have a lot of ups, but Id wait for a untether jailbreak where you can restart without connecting to the PC. Id also recommend reading up on jailbreaking first. I refused to jailbreak my friend's sister's iPhone because there are things that can go wrong. I read these forums and basically fixed everything for what I learned. I dont want to have to go to see her when something goes wrong.
 
I am seriously considering not even getting the iPhone 5. I use four apps in JB that I literally can't go without....Any Attach, Open Notifier, iKeywi and Mail Enhancer Pro....
 
as long as Apple is signing 5.1.1 you can go back to 5.1.1.

You need to download the firmware file from 5.1.1 from here:

http://m.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=750

Than alt-restore (mac) or shift-restore(win) with the downloaded IPSW firmware file.

After that save your SHSH/APTicket combination with TinyUmbrella

You need to be quick though!!!!! before apple stops signing 5.1.1 and only signs 6.0

I have a family member with an iPhone 4s, is it possible to set it so mine will work through his? would probably make this a bit safer, as far as I understand at least.

And so if I go back to 5.1.1, I will be able to have the untethered jailbreak?

I see, Is it really needed to go back to 5.1.1 though?
If so, I downloaded : 5.1.1 (4 GSM Build 9B208): iPhone3,1_5.1.1_9B208_Restore.ipsw

Is this correct for an iPhone 4? not a 4S

I don't believe this is correct. If it is like previous tethered jailbreaks, all it means is if you *reboot* your phone, then jailbreak apps won't function until you connect it to your pc/mac and run a program to complete the tethered reboot. Non-jailbreak apps like 'phone' and 'safari' should continue to work fine while in this mode.

Also after jailbreaking and installing Cydia (manually), you can install hacks like '3DEnabler' which will enable Flyover and Turn-by-Turn GPS directions on your iPhone 4 that Apple purposely disabled.
