Hi I found my old iPhone and it was in a restore loop, when I kicked it out, the iPhone ran greenpois0n but froze at "Unable to located firmware after 60000 ms giving up" or something, and then went back to restore mode.

When I try to update on itunes to latest firmware I get stuck at Error 26- iTunes is on "waiting for iPhone", and the iPhone gets a loading bar but as soon as some progress starts, it restarts and I get the error.

I have tried new cables, different computer with no antivirus.
I suspect its cos the iPhone is like, half jailbroken?
I only want a working iPhone! :(

Thats the plan but the bit I'm stuck on is the "restore" part.
I have tried to restore to the latest iOS both shift+click, and downloading through itunes and both get Error 26?

----------

When I try Recovery Fix on redsn0w the iPhone does all the stuff but then finishes with "ERROR! Please reboot the device into normal operating mode, then perform a clean "Slid to power off, then try again"

I put it in DFU mode, tried restoring again with stock iOS, and still no luck
I tried kicking it out of restore again (from DFU using umbrella) and its still the greepois0n initialised (Except it starts with Unable to load fs_mount, Unable to load.... etc) and then freeze at the "no successful firmware download after 60000 ms"

:(

its likely you have some bad usb ports. try restarting your computer

I've tried it on another computer with a new apple cord too, and it still gets the error

----------

So I left it on the greenpois0n terminal for a while and now the phone is stuck on (after the "60000 ms, giving up" line)

AppleM2ScalerCSCDriver: Added framebuffer device: AppleCLCD id: c842e008
and then goes back to Restore Mode

Thanks for all your help so far. This is so frustrating

Steps to Downgrade iPhone Firmware Using TinyUmbrella:

Download and install latest version of iTunes

Download TinyUmbrella for Windows, Mac or Linux

Connect your device to your computer via USB cable.

Launch TinyUmbrella and click Save SHSH to save SHSH blobs of your current

firmware and also to import the already saved SHSH blobs from Saurik server to your local hard disk.

Once SHSH blobs are successfully imported, go to Server tab and click on Start TSS Server button.

Now start or restart iTunes if already opened. Click on the name of your device to go to Summary page. Hold down the SHIFT key (ALT key for Mac) and click on the restore button. Now select the firmware file and click on Open button.

Thats it, now sit back and relax while iTunes restore your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to the older firmware. If you encounter error 1015, it means your downgrade process is complete. All you need is to kick your device out to Recovery Mode and to do so, go to TinyUmbrella window and right click on the name of your device and choose Kick out of Recovery.

Thats it! You have successfully completed the downgrade.

If that doesn't work try useing redsn0w extras select IPSW Itunes is very fussy redsnow is much better at installing the IPSW's and dealing with errors.

I plugged it in and ran TinyUmbrella, but I press "Save SHSH" nothing happens??

Also I tried restoring through redsn0w Restore to 6.1 and it works all the way until "Checking Filesystems" and then I get Error 26.
Is there any more I can try?
I will keep trying the downgrade method meanwhile

I took it to the Apple store and there was no hardware problems and they say the jailbreak bricked it. If I can't perform a restore in DFU mode and the guys at apple tried, any other ways? The jailbreak/console on the iPhone with greenpois0n still freezes at (IOSIOControllers::enumerateSlot() Seaarching for SDIO device in slot: 0), and then boots into restore mode, is there a way to fix and finish the jailbreak?

What SHSH's are save for your device?

Jus to be sure, DFU-mode is a complete black screen nothing showing, recovery mode is showing connect to itunes screen.
