I am trying to restore my iPhone and it's not working out... I thought it might be a firewall blocking apple on my router so I direct connected to my modem. Same results.

After it extracts software and verify's I get the pop up message everytime...

Iv posted an exact same thread and according to others, Apple Servers are done :L

if it is error 1004, go to ur windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file, and delete the es.apple xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx line at the end

Apple restore servers were down for some time earlier today and are probably still recovering.

I'd try again later in the night or tomorrow morning.
