I am currently debating between buying the 3GS or the 3G. I know the 3G isn't going to get multitasking with 4.0 but all I really need running in the background is an IM app, maybe safari sometimes. The 3G should be able to handle this much with the Backgrounder right? Apart from that is there anything else I should be considering before choosing the 3G over the 3GS? I don't do pandora or gaming or anything else on the phone.

Also, modmyi says that there are rumors of a new iPhone by the 22nd of June. How correct is that? Now, I know everyone is just speculating at this point, but being out of the iPhone scene for a few months I am kinda behind. So what is the probability of the iPhone getting a hardware refresh this summer?

Wait until June it is then! Till then an iPhone 3g would have to do. Is it terribly slow and does it hang a lot?
