what specs have been mentioned?

and whether a price cut looks possible?

No specs have been made known. As per other iPhone upgrades it will probably be the same pricing with different specs / capacities.

Figure the prices will be the same as current models. It keeps it competitive while still making money for Apple, and leaves room for a price drop next year when the new phone comes out.

You're only hearing speculation. The only hard evidence out there that a new iPhone is in the midst is the discovery of config files for undocumented iPhone devices. No one knows what the next iPhone specs will be exactly until it comes from the mouths of Apple execs. So wait until WWDC unless you just like to get pumped up because you believe what people tell you all the time. But to humor you:

-A4 chip
-960x480
-second front-facing camera + iChat
